Give yourself at least 15 minutes to think through things. Be sure to get rid of distractions while you are doing this.

This is how I planned out the chapters of my book. I wrote down all the ideas that came to mind and displayed them on the hotel window. When you have each idea on a single post-it note, you can organize them by urgency, topic, priority, etc.
