شَهِدنا صنوفَ العذابِ الزؤام
كتبنا بصبرٍ حروفَ التاريخ
وما اهتز جِفنٌ لشعبِ الكِرام
لذكرى عزيزٍ مضى للخلود
تناديه أمٌ عَسَى أن يعود
سلامٌ لغزة سلامٌ سلام
لشعبٍ عظيمٍ ونحنُ الشهود

And the horror of tragedies and the magnitude of pain
God is ours when the groaning of wounds
And the loss of a martyr on the battlefield
Our God is at all times
From the darkness of the night comes the morning
Greetings to an orphan child who cried
To a steadfast detainee who did not complain
To a grandfather who saw a second catastrophe
Lessons of perseverance told with determination
Displacement, hunger, and the oppression of the tents
We witnessed all kinds of torment
We patiently wrote the letters of history
And not an eyelid shook for the honorable people
To the memory of a dear one who has passed away for eternity
A mother calling him, may he return
