Writing a great piece of sales copy isn’t about having a killer template.
It’s not about selling the benefits, over the features.
It’s not about having a great headline, a bold guarantee, or a bunch of bonuses.
Any copywriter who tells you different, doesn’t know what they’re doing.
Writing great sales copy is about one thing, and one thing only; molding belief systems.
It’s about:
1.) Knowing what your reader already believes, and which of their beliefs are preventing them from buying
2.) Knowing what they need to believe, in order to see buying as the only thing that makes sense, and
3.) Knowing how to take them from the former belief system, to the latter.
Everything else is just tactics. Bells and whistles. Distractions.
A great copywriter:
• Builds a world for their reader to live in
• Gives them an enemy to fight against
• Gives them hope for the future
• And gives them purpose.
Your offer is simply about helping them fulfill their destiny.
Great copy isn’t about convincing someone to buy.
It’s about helping them realize that “buying” is part of who they really are.
Mindset is important, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.
