As a writer they teach you to proof read and to reread what you wrote. Today I decided to listen back to my open discussion with my girls and check myself! I took mental notes on things I said and heard the way it sounded as a listener and I put myself in my kids shoes. When I was their age I just wanted my mom to listen more and I do just what my mom did. Talk and talk and talk and talk! I have to learn how to gain my daughter's trust.
