We are finally back after our holiday hiatus! Seasonal depression can’t stop us, an iTunes glitch can’t stop us, we love our listeners and we want to wish each and every one of you a super amazing and prosperous new year.

The holidays are hard for almost everyone: dealing with seasonal depression, consumer madness, and family baggage are as quintessential to the season as Christmas carols and latkes.

I feel super fortunate to have a family that is supportive of me, regardless of their opinions about the work I do, but I know that many folks do not have that kind of relationship with their family and the holidays can be a reminder of that.

My parent’s house was always the place that my friends could go to if and when their parents kicked them out for whatever reason, so I wanted to bring a little slice of that to you all to celebrate getting through the holidays.

My mom is super supportive of me, but this is actually the first time we’ve sat down and really talked about her process around me coming out to her about being a sex worker. It hasn’t always been perfect or easy, but she’s always loved me through it and that’s why I wanted you all to meet her. She likes strong green tea and knows more about cats than anyone I’ve ever met. She’s an actor, an activist, and one of fiercest people in the known universe, please welcome the one and only, Mom. E.
