Monday 23 March 2020 | Jeff Katz releases the Wrestling Revolution Project to YouTube

Listen Later

Way back in 2011, Hollywood producer Jeff Katz became discontent with the state of televised pro wrestling. Katz had started his entertainment career as a segment host for WCW (Yes, THAT WCW) and had never lost his love for the business. In response to what he was seeing (or not seeing as the case may be), Katz launched the Wrestling Revolution Project: a Kickstarter-funded 13-episode wrestling series to be made available via internet streaming and dvd.
But $100,000 and a full tv taping later… nothing happened. The matches had been filmed utilizing a terrific array of big name indy, international and former WWE talent including Chris Hero, MVP, Big Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, Sami Callihan, Joey Ryan and Kenny Omega. But as weeks became months became YEARS, almost none of the footage was finished or released.
Until this weekend.
Amidst the coronavirus lockdown, Katz has resurfaced, releasing vast amounts of the WRP footage to the world via YouTube. Find out more about this story on today’s episode of the Handsome Genius Club.
