Petition period starts tomorrow for March elections

Nominating packets will be available starting tomorrow for anyone interested in running for an elected county position in the March primary.  Hendrickson added that if you have any questions about the packets you can call the Kankakee County Clerk’s office.

Hoopeston man arrested for allegedly damaging tombstone

Iroquois County Sheriff's Police report the arrest of a 33-year-old Hoopeston man after he allegedly damaged a tombstone. Reports say Skyler W. Cannon was taken into custody last Tuesday following an investigation into damage done to a gravestone at Floral Hill Cemetery.
