It’s possible for us to look faithful in public while being passive in private. We can work hard, serve at church, and help everybody else, then come home and give our family whatever patience, energy, and attention we have left.
In this week’s Equipped in 5, we look at Joshua 24:15 and what it means to say, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Biblical leadership does not begin with a title, platform, or position. It begins with the people God has placed closest to us. Our homes do not need perfect men. They need humble, present, faithful men who pray, listen, repent quickly, love sacrificially, and consistently point their families toward Christ.
This week’s challenge is simple. Lead one spiritual moment at home. Pray with your wife. Read Scripture with your family. Encourage your adult child. Pray with your kids before bed. Ask someone close to you how you can pray for them.
Don’t make a big speech. Just take one faithful step.
Lead with strength. Serve with humility. Love like Christ.
