No kind deed I do will ever be in vain

Because the fact that I can still be kind

is a miracle.

I’m healing from my past

And I have not allowed it's hurt

To remove the parts of me

that make me special

And that alone is worth celebrating.

But to top it off

I am confident and sure

That in my moments of need

I will encounter good people

Who will show me the same kindness

That I have shown to others.
