Last week, President Joe Biden gave a statement and took two (literally two) questions on the matter of college campus protests in support of the Palestinian people, and in the process of that address, managed to alienate himself further from activists needed to win close races.
Okay, so will he need to ride on "reverse coattails?" Surely that's how he gets re-elected, if he does, right?
Also, why do conservative pundits in 2024 still not know what "good trouble" is?
Senator Bernie Sanders, meanwhile, does manage to strike the right tone - a balance Biden can't find. Hear him with Christian Amanpour on CNN last week.
Lastly, Bill Maher ain't crazy about Merrick Garland, and makes a good case for the rest of us on the left being tired of Democrats' playing (more than) fair while their opposition continues to self-serve.
