When I was fighting for equal custody of my twins I really valued my time with them and was very intentional about my role as a father. I too found that with my other two little ones and when I won equal custody I started to become complacent about the time with them, and still do. 

Due to our varying life situations, we all have different amounts of times we spend with our kids. For those of us with more time, we can get fooled into thinking we have so much time at our disposal that we end up not being as present as we could be. 

Although it is very important to be there for our kids as much as possible, it is also important that we add quality by actually BEING THERE with our kids, with undivided attention.
