NEWSIES is a 1992 Disney musical loosely based on the New York City Newsboy's Strike of 1899. This was a surprisingly well-made movie, very well-choreographed, and I thought the story lent itself to being a musical quite well. Most famously known for starring a young Batman to be: Christian Bale.

My sister and I started this experiment in June, trying to see as many musicals as possible and potentially changing my view of musicals in general. I don’t particularly enjoy musicals as movies, so this is an on-going experiment we invite you to join us on this adventure with our take on NEWSIES.
