“SWANA King” is a performance piece that explores the (resolvable?) tensions between gender expression and expectations in SWANA/Middle Eastern culture through dance, drag, dance as drag, Arabic Gotye covers, a cousin’s song about grape leaves, and flying keffiyehs!
