Petersburg's Tribe, the Petersburg Indian Association, is hoping to buy Borough land to develop a subdivision for Tribal citizens and the general public; the Petersburg Borough Assembly will set a price for a parcel of Borough-owned tidelands at its meeting tonight; Tenakee Springs City Council voted earlier this month to formally oppose the so-called "Landless Bill," which would allocate some federal forest land to Landless Tribes in Southeast Alaska.
