Leviticus 1 – Burnt Offering –– Worship

Leviticus 3 – Peace Offering –– Fellowship
Leviticus 4 & 5 – Sin Offering –– Atonement
Leviticus 5 & 6 – Guilt Offering –– Restoration


           I.                  Blood of the First Covenant

Each Covenant God made with Humanity required a blood sacrifice:
Noah. Genesis 8:20-21
Abraham. Genesis 15:9-11
Moses. Exodus 24:8

Leviticus 17:11

Passover: A symbolic act to Celebrate and Commemorate Deliverance from Egypt.
Day of Atonement: A Day to receive Atonement and Forgiveness of Sins.

Passover and the Day of Atonement provide a complete picture of God's redemptive work through Jesus.

       II.                  Blood of the New Covenant

Jesus Satisfies the Passover Sacrifice.

    III.                  The Lord’s Supper: A Symbolic Memorial

The Lord’s Supper marks the transition from the Old Covenant to the New Covenant, in which Jesus became the ultimate Passover sacrifice.
