The Lord turned over tables and chased out the moneychangers from the temple! This event recorded in Scripture demonstrates the value the Lord places on a relationship with himself. The temple was to be a house of prayer. They had turned it into a place for profit. We too have a choice. Is prayer to our wonderful Lord more important than making money? Moneychangers in the Bible has been likened to the central banks of today. Both take things that do not belong to them. Both put making a profit as more valuable than a relationship with the Lord.
