In 1 Timothy 6, Paul gave attention to false teachers whose motivation was money. He warned of the dangers that come with the love of money, and required godliness with contentment. Further instruction was given to the rich of the brethren. They were to trust in God rather than material wealth, and use their wealth to be active in good works.
