The chief financial officer of a company or organization is assigned the primary responsibility for managing the company finances, analyzing data, and recommending corrections. While many mothers did not set out to become financial officers in their homes, for one reason or another, they might want or need to become one because of their family or life circumstances.

By developing certain qualities, you can excel at it and become the most financially savvy woman: a Chief Financial Mom.

You get to decide what you will do with your time, how you are going to respond, and when you want to make changes in your life.

The past only affects you by how you continue to think about it. You can change the narrative and how you tell that story.

The most important thing determining your success as a Chief Financial Mom is how you manage your brain. Most people desire results in their lives but are not 100% committed to accomplishing them. The more aligned you are with the vision for your family and the importance of handling your finances well, the more commitment you'll have and the more motivated you'll be to continue through obstacles and failures.

Adriana is (almost) 52 years old and has one son (31 years old). She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and a Master's degree in marketing,  and she worked for 23 years in advertising in renowned communication vehicles in Brazil (Casa Vogue magazine, Estadão newspaper, Eldorado radio, Caras Magazine, and Cemusa).

She has been a yoga practitioner for over 10 years and, during the pandemic, became a yoga instructor. After graduating from the Inner Peace Yoga School in Utah, she founded Studio Yoga OmLine in August 2020 during the pandemic, making the practice accessible to everyone, especially Brazilians who live in Brazil and elsewhere in the world.

In 2023 the studio has plans to expand to English-speaking participants.

In a 2019 eMoney Advisor survey of 2,500 U.S. adults, more than half (57%) admitted to avoiding money talk with their friends purposefully, and almost two-thirds (63%) stated they've never worked with a financial advisor.

Even among spouses, many people avoid talking about money.

When one person in a relationship has had bad luck with money - massive credit card debt, a business deal gone bad, bankruptcy - it can be difficult for the couple to move into a healthy financial relationship.

No matter where you are in your journey, if you manage your mind, you can help others around you, not only your kids, in their journey.

When you believe that you are improving and that you are capable of learning and making changes when necessary, you increase your chances of actually taking steps to get better with your money and positively affecting other areas in your life.

How we think about things determines how we feel about things. How we feel about things determines what we do. What we do or don't do creates our results. The sum of the results creates our lives.

As a man "thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7)

The power of this process is in first recognizing the thinking we may not be aware of and understanding how we are creating our own experience with our own thinking.

We don't need to believe everything that our brain offers us.

A thought download is a five-ten minute free-writing exercise in which you empty your brain onto a piece of paper, one sentence after another, without editing.

We use the model to feel better, to create results, to become conscious, to think more deliberately, to create what you want in life, to become aware of negative thinking and emotions, and to create positive thinking and emotions on purpose.

When you accomplish one thing...it gives you hope and leads you to continue down the path and eventually change your life.

The beauty of starting with the smallest one (debt) is that it strengthens our beliefs that we can pay them all off.

Having an emergency fund triggers thoughts of assurance and will help you feel prepared.

Help your kid decide the best path to get where they want to go, show them options, and accept that they might not follow your advice.

Investing for retirement is essential. If you don't...take action as soon as possible, you are choosing to work for the rest of your life or until your body can not take it anymore.

The sooner you pay off the mortgage, the less interest you will pay and the more money you will free up to invest and build wealth.

The more money we have, the more good we can do.

Being good stewards of our financial resources is a responsibility.

Belief does matter!
How you feel will lead you to do what you need to get the desired result.

Success is possible for everybody.

Success in our finances is determined by what we believe and how we feel about money.

When we believe that we are capable of changing our situation, we will act that way.

New information and knowledge are often needed to develop our thinking. 

There is always a reason for people to do what they do.  

We need to train our brains to think about possibilities instead of limitations and solutions instead of problems.
