The feds have proposed a federal money laundering task force for 2019 in a bid to crack down on corrupt money flowing through the real estate, trades and casinos in hot zones like Vancouver and Toronto.  Will their plans work or is it just a show to gain votes?
There’s spending, but no balancing of the books in finance minister Bill Morneau’s fourth budget.  We break down the budget and get reaction to the new incentives to give first time home buyers a leg up getting into the real estate market.
Albertans will vote on April 16 after Premier Rachel Notley called an election, setting the stage for a political showdown between her NDP government and Jason Kenney’s United Conservative Party.
