It has been said that "Money is the root of all evil." This is misquoted from 1 Timothy 6:10 where it says, "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil..." Jesus says We can't serve to two masters, we will love one and hate the other. When we love money or the pursuit of money or the accumulation of possessions, we will go to every length possible to get it. Paul warns Christians in 1 Timothy to be aware of godly leaders who are trying to present to you a Gospel that says godliness is a means to gain wealth. In Christ there is great gain.
