Interview guest Monika Herzig talks about her new album SHEROES (Whaling City Sound) on today’s episode of The Jazz Hole. The pianist and composer is originally from Germany, but has been living in the US since 1988. SHEROES features some of the world’s leading female jazz instrumentalists, including Leni Stern, Jamie Baum, Ingrid Jensen, Jennifer Vincent, Ada Rovatti, Mayra Casales, Reut Regev and Rosa Avila. Today’s episode also includes tracks from two other band new albums, No Arrival by trombonist and composer Nick Finzer and First things First by saxophonist and composer Andrew Gould
