In this episode of our podcast we sit down with Monique Maldonato, Chief Executive Officer of MD Educational Consulting Firm, LLC.
Monique is a professor, educator, researcher, published writer, speaker, and PhD Candidate. She is the lead professor for the School of Graduate and Degree Completion programs for Tiffin University’s Criminal Justice department. Prof. Maldonado’s expertise rises from homeland security and criminal justice fields; she currently educates in national security studies, legal and ethical issues,and research design and analysis. She is a former Subject Matter Expert for Tiffin’s national security and research courses as well as former Antiterrorism Instructor for the United States Air Force.
In addition to teaching, Prof. Maldonado is a Technical Sergeant in the United States Air Force and has been on active duty for over 12 years in the Cyber Security/Knowledge Operations Management field. Earlier in her career, she had a dual role in Antiterrorism and Security positions. Her experience and interests are in terrorism, homeland security, and national security studies. She is currently the Administrative Assistant to the Deputy Secretary of Defense at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.
Prof. Maldonado is a certified Level II Antiterrorism Instructor and has various certifications in the information assurance, security, antiterrorism, and force protection fields. Prof. Maldonado has an A.A.S. in Information Resource Management from Community College of the Air Force, B.A. in Homeland Security from American Military University, Master of Criminal Justice from Boston University, and a career diploma in Private Investigation from Penn Foster College. Prof. Maldonado is now a PhD Candidate for the Public Policy and Administration degree program with a specialization in Terrorism, Mediation, and Peace. Expected graduation date is the summer of 2015.
