In 2014, Monique Murphy woke from a coma after she fell 20m from a balcony. Due to the severity of her injuries, her right leg was amputated.
Monique's journey of recovery and becoming an Australian Paralympic swimmer is incredibly inspiring. She went from losing her leg to competing at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games in just 2 years! Monique shares her memories from the night of her accident, details of her injuries, and how she emotionally and physically dealt with the loss of her leg. She also explains her experience with Endometriosis and how it has affected her training/life.
