Pushing a super soulful, highly musical house and disco vibe on labels like Delusions Of Grandeur, B2 Recordings and Spa In Disco, Greek producer Lex (Athens) has really caught my ear in the last couple of years with his wonderful productions. Enjoy an hour of his own glorious, sun-drenched productions, including plenty of unreleased goodies.

*How would you describe your sound?*

I think there's a blend of quite a few different styles in my music so it’s a bit hard to describe it. In my ears I hear a psychedelic funkiness with a soulful balearism, if I could say in one sentence. But I think it’s a bit more than that, I mean I could use so many other words also. I am also a bit confused to be honest :)

The thing that I am quite certain though is that there is a lot of emotion, euphoria and positivity in my music, created with lots of organic action.     

*What and who inspires you and influences your sound?* 

As usual, my first contact with music was from my father’s record collection and what he was playing on the turntable. That was mostly rock, disco, blues, classical and some eclectic Greek music to name a few. I am sure that those years inspired and influenced me subconsciously the most.

Apart of that there was also an early trance/rave period that played its part but I think the general late-'90s early-'00s US house period was the one that finally inspired and influenced me the most consciously.

There are really so many names to mention, for all these periods, that it's really very hard to pick just a few.

*Can you tell us a little about this mix and what it means to you?*

It’s the first mix I do with only tracks of mine so I am very excited. Also curious and a little nervous to see if people will like it. I approached the more housey side of me and there are lots of unreleased stuff in it, even unsigned.
