One-half of the party investigates a murder scene and overhears a conversation between Mariposa and Verryx Quin suggesting dastardly plans are afoot. After discovering a cache of hidden letters and a book they retreat, with even more questions than answers. Following their harrowing encounter and in need of rest the party reconvenes at a tavern for the night before making final preparations for the heist the next day.
