The crew helps La Blue Belle calm themselves. After returning to the carnival Nix gets disturbing information about their family, while Linefel discovers that another coven has been destroyed by sinister forces, and they decide to rest and recuperate with a well-deserved shopping spree! After agreeing to take a very special stick off the skeleton shopkeeper's hands, they prepare for their trip to Starfall with their new bling, but not before a disturbing interaction with Nevermore's book.
