Top-seeded Montana State road a near-perfect day by senior quarterback Tommy Mellott (300 yards passing, 4 passing TDs) to a 49-17 win over Tennessee-Martin on December 7, 2024. Montana State moved to 13-0, the most wins in Bobcat football history. 

The Bobcats move into the quarterfinals to play the winner of No. 8 Idaho and Lehigh. 

Following the game, MSU head coach Brent Vigen, junior wide receiver Taco Dowler and junior defensive end Kenneth Eiden IV along with UT Martin head coach Jason Simpson, senior linebacker Tevin Shipp and senior offensive lineman Josiah Tingley addressed the media.
