Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Montreal-based Jazz Pianist & Composer Thélonius Garcia .. We talked to him about his new 2024 CD Marche Nocturne that happens to be his debut as a leader, along with covering his life in jazz so far. He has always been immersed in artistic creation in all its forms. Trained on classical piano during his conservatoire studies in France, he chose to follow a less conventional path by getting into jazz. He is the son of a Dominican visual artist & a French sculptor. This has influenced quite a bit of his life and approach. We cover so many angles. Enjoy.
