This week on Moon Makeup we say goodbye to the first general of the Dark Kingdom (and thus also the first arc as well) and also meet the second general! First up it's Episode #13, Girls Unite: The End of Jadeite, which kind of spoils itself right there in the episode title. However in addition to being Jadeite's farewell it also doubles as one of the most bizarre episodes of the series so far, as Jadeite attacks the Sailor Guardians with cops made out of clay and AIRPLANES and Luna reveals herself as an evil capitalist, among many other developments! Once that's out of the way we turn our attention to the beginning of the next arc, Episode #14, A New Enemy Appears: Nephrite's Evil Crest. The second general Nephrite makes his debut (and the third general Zoisite also makes an early cameo!) and reveals the major shift to the monster-of-the-week format, as we go from an evil plot to steal energy from a whole bunch of people to Nephrite identifying one "Victim of the Week" (he asks THE STARS!!! to identify whose energy is reaching its peak each week) to target for energy theft instead. In this episode it's Naru's childhood friend Rui, a tennis prodigy who Nephrite grants the power of EVIL SERVES, and which leads to a hilarious tennis-themed fight where Tuxedo Mask finally does something! Finally we have Episode 15, Usagi's Panic: Rei's First Date where the victim of the week (some park manager who Ami is friends with) takes a very obvious back seat to Rei's plan to land her a man: Mamoru! It's one of the funnier episodes of the season, mixed in with a very underwhelming monster story. Come enjoy this changing of the guard with us, this week on Moon Makeup!
