Did you know Utah received two trees that had been to space? In the 1970s, on Apollo 14, one of the astronauts took more than 400 tree seeds to space as part of a Forestry Service study. When they got back, they planted all of them and gave them out as gifts to states as part of the US' bicentennial celebrations. Utah got 2 sycamores "moon trees." One of them got destroyed during the '99 tornado and the other was gifted to the now-defunct Lone Peak Nursery near the prison.
