For as long as we've been around, we have used them to measure and quantify things in the world around us. Numbers help us make sense of the reality in which we inhabit. This idea, called “Numericism”, posits that society’s over-reliance on numbers and stats can lead to those same numbers and stats being manipulated and used for ulterior motives. It’s an out-of-the-box concept, and thankfully, JuanyB has it all figured out.
