Well well well, look who decided to show up for another year (?) of movie reviews from two slackers who don't have any better way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

We've thoroughly re-thunk our lives in the fallout of '81, and with Oscar fever swiftly filling up hospital beds we decided to look to the recent past and find a movie that actually deserved the statue it got to take home.

That move is Moonlight, Barry Jenkins's 2016 slow moving drama that follows a character and the people in his life across three distinct stages of his life.
