Sharif Bey has been involved in the Moorish Movement since 1989, first with the Moorish Circle of Mother and Sons and later with the Moorish Science Temple of America, serving as Grand Sheik of Temple #4. He began the Moorish Jurisprudence lecture series in 1998.
