One of my listeners, Sachin, asked me to share a bit more about Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (EIRs). 

EIR roles can take a variety of shapes but the overall purpose is the same. Allow an entrepreneur to work on growing their business while providing them a "day job" helping other entrepreneurs.
