Not all Ontarians can or want to retain a family law lawyer on a full-time basis but many still need help - with specific tasks, for example, to draft documents, to prepare for hearings, to help with calculations, to receive a bit of coaching for negotiations, or even to prepare for a mediation. Limited Scope Legal Services are a great alternative to a classic retainer. They allow the client and the lawyer to complete defined, specific tasks at an agreed to pace and price - giving more Ontarians access to justice - based on their needs and means.
