Just like many parents, our Heavenly Father takes delight in his children growing and taking steps toward maturity.  A loving earthly parent wants to see their child grow more and more in every area of life.  In the same way, our loving Heavenly Father delights to help us grow more and more into the image of His Son, Jesus.
