More Gospel Goodness Pt2 -Titus 3:5-6

Titus 3:5-6 Part 2 -

Continue this powerful verse-by-verse study of Titus 3:5-6 as Pastor Bart Horton explores two more essential features of God's gospel work: the richness of the Holy Spirit poured out on believers and the rescuing work of Jesus Christ our Savior.

In this episode of Growing In Grace, we examine:

  • What it means that the Spirit has been poured out "richly" on every believer
  • Why there are no Christians living in Holy Spirit poverty
  • How the Spirit was given without measure—you have all of Him, not just a portion
  • Why Paul specifically calls Jesus "our Savior" in this passage
  • The cost of our rescue—what Jesus left behind and what He endured for us
  • How we've sanitized salvation and forgotten the bloody, brutal reality of the cross
  • The connection between God's rich blessing and Christ's substitutionary sacrifice

Pastor Bart reminds us that we can't sterilize the gospel and package it neatly without remembering what it actually cost God to save us. Jesus left the throne of eternal glory to become our sin-bearing, beaten, murdered sacrifice. He rescued us from foolishness, disobedience, and enslavement to sin—and that rescue was anything but clean or easy.

This teaching will deepen your gratitude for the fullness of what God has given you and renew your awe at the price Christ paid to make you His own.
