Remembering Joe Osborn
Joe Osborn was the Louisiana-born bassist who moved to Los Angeles and became one of the most highly sought after studio musicians in the 1960’s and 1970’s. After playing with Ricky Nelson and Johnny Rivers, he became part of the legendary Los Angeles studio musician group, The Wrecking Crew. He played bass on hundreds of hit records from everyone from Simon and Garfunkel to The Carpenters. When he decided to leave playing rock in Los Angeles, he went on to play bass for many country music hits in Nashville.
