Gill Perkins, aka jamjargill talks to us about how she got her online persona, why her 'take no shit' policy nips trolling in the bud, how she has found the perfect way to combine her passions AND make a living, how finding her tribe has continued her education, how simply stopping to think can be the biggest gamechanger in the war against waste and what she does as a mum of twins to create pockets of self care.
PLS note this IS Episode 58, not 57 as (sleep deprived) Jo says in the intro!

The Big O, climaxing, orgasming, cumming... call it what you will, the subject is either not talked about enough or too many women still feel awkward having a conversation about it, even in 2021. While pictorial representations of the male equivalent can be seen drawn on dirty white vans, etched on toilet walls and on the underside of school desks, with no visual evidence of the female orgasm, it's always been a much harder subject to explore, elusive to some and mysterious to elicit by many of the other sex. Serena and Jo here talk openly about the topic and explore the literal and figurative ins and outs of La Petite Mort.

Do you suppress your Inner Goddess? Do you listen when she speaks? Would you recognise her voice? Do you even know who she is? We talk about identifying her - spotting her screaming to get out, how she compares to your Inner Child and the authoritative Mother voice inside all of us.

Have you ever stopped to think about how many different roles we play in a lifetime? Pupil, student, sibling, child, girlfriend, wife, expert, mentor, waitress, shop assistant, teacher, friend... the list is extraordinary! And each and every role demands something different and often new of us - like the learning game children play in nurseries, "Silly Soup", every role we play throws something new into our life, a new skill, an experience, a range of feelings, and much more - is it any wonder we can reach a stage of our lives where it can all feel a bit much, and yet another change of role can feel overwhelming and sometimes, a little daunting.

In 2021 is there still a stigma to dating someone half your age? Are women judged more harshly for being a 'cougar' while men are celebrated for dating a much younger partner? What is the 'appropriate' age gap in a relationship - where is the cut-off, who decides - is there an 'age-police' and why is it okay to tell someone they shouldn't be seeing someone younger when it's no longer acceptable to discriminate against someone in the workplace due to their age?

Anyone else get moved to tears by the hell they call technology sometimes?
No? Just us? We think not! For those of us not born into a world of hand held computers - no we're ot THAT old, honest - the constant battle to keep up to date with evolving changes and single handedly tackle glitches with the help of Google videos is exhausting, frustrating and annoying!

Okay, it's 2021, we are running businesses, running around after children, running ourselves ragged! So is it any wonder our homes are not always (if ever) as clean and tidy as in our grandmother's day? We talk about how standards have changed and dropped but in some cases have maybe fallen too far, and how preventing an outbreak of food poisoning shouldn't really be the threshold of acceptibility when it comes to housekeeping!
