Yesterday, we received the news no one wants to hear. The gas tax is going up to 18.5% from 17%, costing you an average of $24 more a year to run your vehicle. The increase was announced by the TransLink Mayor’s council, after it received approval for the hike by the BC Government. The cash will fund regional transportation.
