In Psalm 27, David is surrounded by real threats, yet he makes a bold declaration. “The Lord is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?” His confidence is not in his circumstances but in God’s presence. When we fix our eyes on who God is and trust that He is with us, fear loses its power and faith takes its place.
