Traditionally, there are three major events in Jesus' life that God's people have celebrated throughout the ages. The first two are very well-known: Christmas and Easter. The third, however, isn't as well known: Ascension. This marks the end of Jesus' ministry on earth as he is taken up into Heaven as a conquering hero.  Today, we celebrate that because Jesus conquered, we also are conquerors through him.
