More Than Sunday Morning

In this episode we dicuss around the table this biblical concept of community. We were created for community by community (Genesis 1). We address the challenges of building small groups while also identifying the importance of them.

Today Tim and Avery sit around the table with Steve and discuss where we've been and where we are going with our current 72 week sermon series about Jesus. He shares with us how he decided to tackle the entire life of Jesus, why Jesus came and what is to come over the next year.

Today Avery walks us through the two meal service options that are offered under the Meal Ministry. She shares where the information can be found, who the meals are for and why this is important within our church community.

Today we wrap up our long produced series on the hermenutical process. As you'll hear Tim say, step five or the application process is our most easily forgotten step. Listen in as we review the previous four steps, talk through the importance of application and then actually work our way through all five steps with a passage of scripture.

We are continuing on in our 'How to Study the Bible' series. Today we are covering step four where we start to unpack and understand our own culture. Understanding our own culture helps us identify any personal bias', expereinces or values that we might be impressing on scripture. We need to be able to identify that our culture is different or maybe even in some ways the same as the culture that the scripture was written to.

As we continue in on in our 'How to Study the Bible' series, Tim walks us through what it means to cross the principal bridge. This is the third step in in the process of studying scripture.

It's been awhile since we've been on the mic. Today we are back and starting off with a round table, organic conversation about what the Lord is using in our lives to draw us closer to himself, outside of Sunday mornings.
