After her son passed away at 28 years old, Hyun faced the unimaginable loss no parent wants to experience.

Instead of giving up, she chose to turn her grief into something meaningful.

At 65 years old, Hyun founded an agency that helps families — especially immigrant parents with children who have developmental disabilities — understand the support systems available to them and receive the care they need.

Her story is one of courage, perseverance, faith, and discovering purpose even after deep tragedy.
