If one’s offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to present an unblemished male. He must bring it to the entrance to the Tent of Meeting for its acceptance before the LORD. — Leviticus 1:3-4
The worshiper laid his hand on the head of the unblemished sacrifice, symbolizing identification and transfer. Now we know the substance behind that shadow. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. By that will, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
