The angel tells Joseph: call His name Jesus, because He will save His people from their sins. Not from their problems, not from poverty, not from their enemies — from their sins. He appeared to take away sins. He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree. That's why He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him.
