Instead, they were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. — Hebrews 11:16

Abraham looked for a city whose designer and builder is God, and God prepared it for him. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you" (John 14:3)—an inheritance imperishable and undefiled, kept in heaven. Here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one to come. Wait with patience; the King is coming.
