The Lord disciplines those He loves—and that's good news. He doesn't wound for pleasure; He wounds to heal. He kills and makes alive; He brings down and raises up. His thoughts toward you are peace, not evil, and no discipline seems pleasant at the time but later yields righteousness. The rod is in the hand of a Father who loves you too much to leave you as you are.
