It was now just before the Passover Feast, and Jesus knew that His hour had come to leave this world and return to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the very end. — John 13:1

Knew what was coming — betrayal, denial, the cross — and he loved them anyway. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. His love doesn't give up.
