Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands, without anger or dissension. — 1 Timothy 2:8
Prayer is the posture of the redeemed—hands lifted in dependence, cleansed by the blood of Christ. But we cannot come with unconfessed anger or double-mindedness. The Father seeks true worshipers who worship in spirit and truth, and we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. When we pray in faith, His righteousness is our confidence.
